We have collected some information about the most common questions we are asked as below:
My TV pictures keep pixelating, what can cause this?
There are many possible causes. Pixilation is a symptom of a weak signal and can be caused by your aerial being out of alignment, damaged coaxial cable, faulty TV socket or faulty amplifiers, and many more.
Do I need a new TV aerial if I keep getting pixilation?
Not necessarily. We have sophisticated electronic signal meters that tell us exactly where the problem is, sometimes it is as simple as a poor connection.
Can my TV aerial be installed in my loft?
Sometimes but not always. If you are in a good Freeview reception area then it is likely that your aerial will work in your loft. Our specialised signal meters allow us to find the exact spot in your loft where your aerial will work.
Pigeons and other birds keep sitting on my TV aerial, is there anything that can be done to stop this?
Yes there is. We can install plastic bird spikes on your aerial, and they definitely won’t be sitting on it ever again.
I don’t like seeing cables, can they be hidden?
Neither do we. If we have to install cables externally, we will find the most discrete route. We will match the cable colour to the surface it is being installed on, and where possible we will hide the cable completely behind drain pipes, gutters etc.
My TV is on the wall and I have lots of cables connected to it which looks ugly, can they be hidden?
Yes, we can either install an appropriate cable management system to conceal the cables, or we can chase the wall, conceal the cables inside the wall and then re plaster. You won’t see the cables again (see our gallery)
I want to put a TV on a plasterboard wall, is it safe to do?
Yes with the right equipment. We have stud finders which let us locate the stud inside the wall which is what you have to fix to. Normal plasterboard fixings are ok for small TV’s but not for larger TV’s.
Sky say they cant get a signal and won’t install a dish, are there any other options?
Yes, call us. We have installed Sky TV for many people who have been told it can not be done. We have sophisticated signal testers which others may not, that allows us to pin point where the signals will work and where they will not.
My wireless internet is poor in some rooms in my house, can anything be done?
Yes, we can install devices that connect to your router and flood the problem area with wireless internet signals.
I want a hard wired CAT5 or CAT6 cable installed, can you do this?
Absolutely
Can i view my CCTV cameras from another country?
Yes. We can install and set up equipment which allows you to do this, we highly recommend you have a static IP address for this.
I want a CCTV system installed but I don’t want to spend alot of money, what are my options?
We can install CCTV systems to suit any budget. However, the cost for the cameras increase with the quality of the resolution and the overall picture quality, so if you are on a tight budget, do not expect HD quality CCTV pictures!
Do you install HD CCTV cameras?
Yes we do. They are our most popular cameras. If you want to catch someone in the act and need to produce the CCTV evidence in court, we recommend HD CCTV. Alot of CCTV evidence is dismissed in court because the images are poor quality, make sure this does not happen to you.
I live in a rural area and my broadband is very slow, are there any other options than BT, Sky and Talk Talk?
Yes there is. We can install satellite broadband which does not rely on your conventional telephone line, so it therefore does not suffer from the same problems. You pay a monthly fee and can get speeds up to 20mb download and 10mb upload, even if you are in the middle of no where
